How Much Do Research Peptides Cost? The 10-Vial Pack Value Guide

"How much do research peptides cost?" is one of the most common questions a new researcher asks, and it is also one of the hardest to answer cleanly - because single-vial retail listings, bulk discounts and per-mg economics all muddy the comparison. This guide does it the transparent way: real New-U pack prices, broken down to price-per-vial and price-per-milligram , so you can see exactly where the value sits.

The headline finding is simple and it is the one most listings hide: on a per-mg basis, the higher-strength vial is almost always the lower unit cost . The pack model is built around that.

Status check. Everything below is priced and framed as research use only - not for human consumption . New-U supplies research-grade compounds as laboratory reagents only. They are not medicines and are not substitutes for FDA-approved prescription products (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound and the rest). This is a pricing breakdown for research purchasing, not dosing guidance.

Why 10-Vial Packs, Not Single Vials

Most of what you pay for in a research vial is not the peptide - it is the fixed overhead around it: the vial and stopper, lyophilisation, quality control, the third-party Certificate of Analysis, sealing, and tracked temperature-aware shipping. That overhead is roughly the same whether the vial holds 10mg or 30mg, and roughly the same whether you order one vial or ten.

New-U sells sealed 10-vial research trays direct from the source rather than as single-vial retail. Two things fall out of that:

  • The per-order overhead is amortised across ten vials , not one - testing, sealing and shipping a tray costs far less per vial than shipping singles.
  • A layer of retail markup is removed - direct-source pricing tracks raw-material and handling economics rather than single-vial shelf pricing.
  • That is why the numbers below look low against typical single-vial listings. It is a packaging-and-sourcing model, not a discount gimmick.

The Real Numbers: Price-Per-Vial and Price-Per-Mg

Every pack is 10 vials . Price-per-mg is simply the pack price divided by the total milligrams in the tray (10 × the per-vial strength). Watch what happens to the per-mg column as the strength climbs within each compound.

    Compound (10-vial pack) Strength Pack price Per vial Total mg Per mg BPC-157 5mg $80 $8.00 50mg $1.60 10mg $110 $11.00 100mg $1.10 TB-500 5mg $125 $12.50 50mg $2.50 10mg $190 $19.00 100mg $1.90 GHK-Cu 50mg $100 $10.00 500mg $0.20 100mg $140 $14.00 1,000mg $0.14 MOTS-C 10mg $135 $13.50 100mg $1.35 40mg $240 $24.00 400mg $0.60 Semaglutide 10mg $170 $17.00 100mg $1.70 30mg $220 $22.00 300mg $0.73 Tirzepatide 10mg $175 $17.50 100mg $1.75 120mg $300 $30.00 1,200mg $0.25 Retatrutide 10mg $215 $21.50 100mg $2.15 40mg $280 $28.00 400mg $0.70

Prices current at publication (June 2026) and shown in USD for the 10-vial pack. Catalog pricing changes - the linked product page is always the live source of truth.

The pattern, in one line. Within every compound, the higher-strength vial is the lower price-per-mg - GHK-Cu drops from $0.20 to $0.14/mg, tirzepatide from $1.75 to $0.25/mg, retatrutide from $2.15 to $0.70/mg. If a research budget is fixed, the higher-mg tier buys materially more total compound per dollar. This is purchasing economics only - it is not a suggestion about how much of anything to use.

What You Actually Get For The Price

A low number only matters if the vial behind it is real. Every New-U pack carries the same verification stack regardless of which tier you buy:

  • Sealed 10-vial trays - lot-matched, not loose singles repackaged.
  • >99% HPLC purity , third-party verified by Janoshik or Freedom Diagnostics .
  • A Certificate of Analysis per lot , with a batch code printed on the vial and on the COA so the two can be matched. If you have never read one, start with how to read a Certificate of Analysis.
  • Reconstitution solvent available in the same order - bacteriostatic water and sterile water are listed as low-cost line items, so you are not chasing a solvent separately. See bacteriostatic water for reconstitution.
  • Discreet, tracked shipping across the US, UK and EU, with card and crypto checkout.
  • How The Value Compares

The cleanest legitimate comparison is against the licensed medicines that share the same molecules, because those prices are public and well documented. The GLP-1 class is the obvious case:

  • Licensed GLP-1 medicines - Ozempic and Wegovy (semaglutide), Mounjaro and Zepbound (tirzepatide) - carry US list prices in the region of $900-1,300 per month , and insurance coverage for the obesity indications is patchy.
  • That list price reflects the full cost of a licensed pharmaceutical: clinical trials, regulatory approval, brand distribution and a clinical supply chain.
  • Research-grade reagent material is priced on a completely different basis - raw-material and handling economics - which is the structural reason the per-mg numbers above are a fraction of licensed-drug pricing.
  • The honest framing: this is not the same product as the licensed drug, and it is not sold for the same purpose. It is a research reagent. The comparison is useful only to show why the two price worlds are so far apart - not to imply equivalence. For the mechanism-level comparison of the molecules themselves, see our research-grade GLP-1 comparison.

Reading A Listing Like A Buyer

  • Convert everything to price-per-mg. A "$60 vial" and a "$200 vial" tell you nothing until you divide by the milligrams. The per-mg column is the only honest cross-listing comparison.
  • Check the pack size. A single-vial price and a 10-vial-pack price are not the same transaction - amortised overhead is the whole reason the pack model is cheaper per vial.
  • Demand the COA before the price. A cheaper vial with no lot-matched Certificate of Analysis is not cheaper - it is unverified. Price is the second question; supplier verification is the first.
  • Mind the research-grade vs licensed-grade line. Research reagents and prescription medicines are different products with different legal status - see pharmaceutical-grade vs research-grade.
  • Compliance note. All compounds referenced here are research-use-only laboratory reagents, not for human consumption, and are not substitutes for licensed prescription medicines. Several GLP-1 compounds are also on the WADA Prohibited List (S2) and banned in sanctioned competition. Nothing on this page is dosing, medical or treatment advice.
